Another reason was to spend some time at the brand new institution, the “Counter Extremism Project”, being established in the grounds of KL Auschwitz in what was the family home of Rudolf Höß, one time, Standortältester, commandant [8 May–29 July 1944] of KL Auschwitz, and meet its new director.
